U Spy: New Citroen C4 Picasso Shows Its Better Side

For some strange reason we find hard to comprehend, at the same time Citroen is preparing the world premiere of the new Technospace Concept (which previews the next generation C4 Picasso) at this week's Geneva Auto Salon, the French carmaker is also circulating examples of the production model on European roads without any attempt to conceal their looks.

Only a couple of weeks after a convoy of production Citroen C4 Picassos were spotted in Vigo, Spain, CarScoopS reader 'Nozomi' stumbled upon another example of the French minivan, this time in Paris.

"This morning (Sunday, 2013/3/3), I saw a red Citroen Picasso without any camouflage," Nozomi told CarScoopS. "The car passed in front of the Paris' Cars and Coffee, and I was the only one guy who took a shot! I only have one picture of it."

Well, that's fine with us Nozomi, as you pictured the…less controversial end of the new C4 Picasso, more of which we will learn about during Citroen's press conference in Switzerland.

Spy Shots: 2014 Citroen C4 Picasso Minivan Runs Around Naked in Sweden

If you haven't had enough of the new 2014 Citroen C4 Picasso, you can thank our intrepid spy photographers who had the courage to face an undisguised prototype of the French minivan in Sweden and get up close and personal to shoot some photos both of the exterior and interior.

Not that we're looking at something we haven't seen before, since as it turns out, there's nothing remotely conceptual about Citroen's so-called Technospace Concept that's on display at the Geneva Motor Show as we speak.

Even the interior with the instrument panel positioned in the center of the dashboard on this black test car is the same as the one featured in the Technospace.

In Geneva, Citroen said that the study, and subsequently the production model, measures 4,430mm long, 1,830mm wide and 1,610mm high, making it 40mm shorter in length and 50mm in height over the current C4 Picasso, but it features a 55mm longer wheelbase at 2,783mm.

What we're waiting for Citroen to tell us is the range of diesel and gasoline engines that will be on offer for the new C4 Picasso and when it plans to launch the compact minivan in the market.

Citroen will also introduce a longer, seven-seater replacement to the Grand Picasso.

Mie nu-mi place ca are stopuri de golf... adica nu ca sunt asemanatoare, cred ca au cumparat niste golfuri, le-au demontat stopurile si le-au pus pe masina asta... probabil le-au placut prea mult alea de vw...

Citroen Shows Production 2014 C4 Picasso in New Promo Video

Citroen continues to make us scratch our heads with the next generation of the C4 Picasso. After circulating a ton of undisguised test cars on Europe's roads and labeling the production model as the Technospace Concept at the Geneva Motor Show, Carscoops reader Florian D. discovered a promotional video from the French company in which we see the new the C4 Picasso (look at the 1:13 mark).

Understandably, there's really no reason for Citroen to hold back on the presentation of the car anymore, so even though the French carmaker hasn't released an introduction date yet, expect a formal announcement within the next couple of months.

Putting aside the new design with the odd-looking glasshouse and the multi-headlamp snout, other standout features on the new compact minivan is the shorter (by 40mm) overall length but longer (+50mm) wheelbase over the current C4 Picasso, and the first application of Citroen’s new infotainment system with a 12-inch screen.

Citroen a prezentat noul C4 Technospace pentru 2014

Citroen a dezvăluit primele imagini cu noul C4 Picasso, ce va ajunge pe piaţă în această vară – o adevărată expresie a sloganului "Creative Technology". MPV-ul Technospace se remarcă într-un design îndrăzneţ şi facilităţi high-tech.

Noul Citroen C4 vine pe piaţă la vară cu un design exterior contemporan şi îndrăzneţ, precum şi cu un interior stilat. Cabina, cu toate că este compactă (L: 4.43m / l: 1.83m / î: 1.61 m), oferă cel mai mare nivel de spaţiu şi cel mai mare portbagaj din clasa sa: 537 litri VDA.

Noul Citroen C4 este şi primul MPV compact cu un motor ce emite sub 100 g/km de CO2, mai exact, doar 98 g/km. Modelul este de asemenea primul Citroen echipat cu motorul diesel BlueHDI 150 Euro 6.

Noul Citroen C4 include şi interfaţa dual-screen cu ecran tactil de 7 inch şi ecran HD de 12 inch. Sistemul 360 Vision – unic în segment – alături de PARK Assist oferă o manevrabilitate uşoară, inclusiv la parcare.

Printre alte dotări se numără active cruise control, centuri de siguranţă active şi faruri cu control al fazei lungi.
